Very interesting explanation. Does vocal fry happen out of nervousness, or is it just bad vocalization habits, or something else?

Your speech is loaded. You must have tribal ears. I'd have to rewind, and listen many times to remember your points, and memorize them each, before i could resopond to the actual body of work a speech presents. I was born and raised in California. I was raised with other kids who have Major learning losses as a result of their being too hard to hear for, as 1 in the crowd who was handy for the purpose. That is families with mixed speech and hearing. We stuttered and lisped and had hearing aids around. Itchy,

They like to hit the last note lower than they ever produced before. Why don't they just start in a normal voice and give us the whole sentence in sub-baritone and get it out of their system. Not sure if its 'natural' as some say, or attitude.

Has the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) researched and written about how racism impacts the modes of communication, pragmatics, etc? Often, other factors are evaluated, but not the role of white supremacy, imperialism, colonialism, poverty, and code-switching (done by marginalized groups in order to navigate the pitfalls of a majority group that often are clueless to marginalized people's culture and unique body language and linguistic lingo, etc). Additionally, are you in talks with Native American, West Indian, Afro-Latino, and African Speech-language-hearing associations so that all groups can share information, research, and hold conferences to improve both national and international issues related to speech, language, and hearing? Often, majority societies that were victorious during wars, slavery, etc (America, Britain, France, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, etc) may have formal and informal relations without regard for the groups that their regions defeated, exploited (Native Americans, 1st Nations, Native Hawaiians, East Coast Africans, West Indians, Afro Latinos in the Caribbean and Central/South America, etc. Thanks for taking the time to read this comment. Have a great day. By: Black Educators & Communications Professionals. 2024

Read the transcript here on this video: ???: "Sound waves travel into your ear, making their way to a snail shaped object called "the cochlea". Once inside, they encountered hair cells that transmit the sound to the brain. But those tiny hair cells, essential to our hearing, can die if exposed to loud noise over prolonged periods of time!"
